Molly Tompkins
I’m a consumer and retail strategist leading Corporate Strategy at Ulta Beauty, where I define and activate the company’s long-term strategy and help guide the enterprise as it shapes the future of beauty retail.
I bring 10 years of experience across retail and CPG, with deep expertise in corporate and growth strategy. At Ulta Beauty, I built the company’s beauty market assessment and competitive insights capabilities, including Ulta Beauty’s proprietary beauty market model and multi-year market forecast used to inform enterprise strategy and investment decisions. I lead the enterprise long-term strategy on a three-year planning cycle, aligning the leadership team around clear strategic priorities and growth levers, and I own the annual strategic planning process, driving cross-functional prioritization and resource allocation toward the initiatives with the highest impact on growth and profitability.
Previously, I spent 4.5 years at PwC Strategy&, advising consumer markets clients on corporate strategy, portfolio decisions, and growth acceleration.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about developing the next generation of talent. I’m a long-standing mentor with Chicago Scholars and a co-founder of The Next Thing, a career coaching service focused on early-career pivots.
